Like many bachelors, I did not really know how to cook. What I did know was chutney. It is a staple in almost every Indian household—simple, familiar, and full of character. I started experimenting with it, not following strict recipes, but chasing flavours that felt fresh, balanced, and comforting. Over time, those experiments became something personal.
I wanted my own flavours. I wanted freshness. So I kept refining the recipes, batch after batch, year after year.
These chutneys became a regular feature at family gatherings, potlucks, and get-togethers. What stood out was not just that people enjoyed them, but that they would eat them on their own. That moment sparked a thought: If people were enjoying this so naturally, why should it stay only within my kitchen?
